Had a great dinner with a good friend here. Nothing special, but at least we have time to talk about random things. Things that happen in life, things that we hardly have time to talk about. Things that we are passionate about but got caught up in this busy life.
Or at least time just to talk about our worries, our frustration, our stress. I realize the older we (or at least I) get, the better we (I) are at avoiding ourselves. Avoiding to admit how stressful we are. To admit that there are many things we cant handle. To admit that if we just vein a bit with friends, we will feel much more relieved.
Feel good about life now. For a random dinner that happened in a random evening.

A new writing for a new year
First Sunday of the new decade!
- the Sunday that has specific meaning for itself and for myself.
I woke up quite early today for a Sunday morning. That means I had an early start for the day, which is so needed at this time of the year. Coming back from a Yoga session, having a quick brunch with a friend, and back to my room doing home assignment. Needless to mention, I have music to accompany me.
Yet, for some reason, my mind cant relax, though i don't think there's anything I should worry about. I always say to my friends who need my advice, that life is too short to keep worrying. Instead, life is too happy to miss any second moment :).
The coming week would be crazy for me. Just to mention a few:
1. One night trip to Vegas - this is tradition of Stanford GSB (short name for business school here). Every year, there will be a night that most GSBers will go to Vegas just to party for a night, and back to campus the morning after. Most interestingly, all of us will have to wear costumes (yes, costumes is a big thing here at GSB) to classes for that whole Tuesday and go straight to airport from our classes. Would be a fun and wild day. And I look forward to the party already started in the airplane.
2. 3 days weekend trip to Vancouver, Canada. For some reason back in Oct, I thought the starting of new quarter would be easy going. I signed up for a skiing trip to Whistler, the skiing resort in Canada where they will have the Winter Olympic this year. Trip fully set, and just waiting for me to embark. Yet, the whole hectic schedule this week made me think twice, should I go or should I just waste all my money and skip the trip. Still 4 more days for me to make that decision...
3. Home assignments - GSB has promised us, once we first year got through the first quarter, things are just sailing smoothly... It seems to work the opposite. Just too many assignments to handle for a day.
4. Recruitment - yeah the intern recruitment has kicked in. I wanna try out the OCR (on-campus recruiting), and this equals tons of company's networking events to participate, tons of company's presentation to join, coffee chat session (back to back), mock interviews. It all eats into my limited time schedule. Not seeing the fun part yet...
Will just run for a study group now. I still hope to be able to write a proper recap of my 2009 and my new year resolution (write it here so that it can remind me of things i still have to do)
Happy new year to all my beloved friends,
